Studi Fenomenologi tentang Pengembangan Spiritualitas Kaum Muda Tionghoa dalam Konteks Gereja Family-Based
Abstract
This article presents how a family-based church can be an effective strategy for nurturing the spirituality of young people. A family-based church model offers an alternative solution by shifting the paradigm to position families as the primary actors, while the church serves as a facilitator to equip families in fulfilling their responsibilities. The purpose of this research is to encourage churches that are considering or already implementing a family-based model of ministry to enhance their effectiveness in fostering youth spirituality. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to gain insights and understanding from young people's perspectives, based on their experiences and what they feel and encounter. The research findings reveal three key elements essential for spiritual growth in both family and church settings: awareness, limitation, and support. The church needs to build awareness among parents, systematically facilitate them to be equipped, and create a supportive community to aid them in nurturing the spirituality of their young members.
